Gamboa wants out of 50 Cent promotional contract
Looks like the final deathblow to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson endeavor into boxing may have been cast when SMS Promotions (50 Cent’s promotional entity) Yuriorkis Gamboa official wants out of his contract. The news first reported by TMZ Sports comes on the heels of SMS Promotions filing for bankruptcy earlier this year. Gamboa at the time said he was willing to stay on board, but now his tone has changed.
Amongst many problems Gamboa cites 50 Cent’s inability to get him 3 fights per year since he came on board in 2012, Gamboa has fought one three times since signing and has no fights schedule in 2015 as we head towards the twilight of the year.
This comes as the second SMS fighter to file legal claims against 50 Cent as SMS fighter, Ryan Martin, has also filed docs claiming SMS failed him too and wants out. As of right now, 50 Cent has not responded publicly, yet.
