Bracero knockouts O’Connor in less a minute on NBCSN

In what some thought might be an interesting rematch turned out to be anything, but that as welterweight Gabriel Bracero (24-2, 5 KOs) needed just 41 seconds to knock out local Danny  O’Connor (26-3, 10 KOs) in the first round on Saturday night at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. In a short lived main event, O’Connor started active with a lot of jabs and herky jerky movement, but was timed with a good right hand counter to a jab that laid him out cold.

Unbeaten super bantamweight KO artist Jonathan Guzman (20-0, 20 KOs) scored a ninth round KO over Danny Aquino (17-1, 10 KOs). Aquino had played spoiler to a few prospects making the win more impressive. Guzman floored Aquino twice in round two, but it was in the ninth round when the ref called the bout off.

In televised swing bout heavyweight prospect Adam Kownacki (12-0, 10 KOs) earned a decision over Modesto, CA’s Rodney Hernandez (8-3-1, 1 KO) with all three judges having the bout 78-74.

Featherweight Ryan Kielczewski (24-1, 7 KOs) scored a spirited ten round unanimous decision over Rafael Vazquez (16-2, 13 KOs).

Middleweight Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan (22-1, 15 KOs) outclassed David Toribio (21-16, 14 KOs) and ended the fight with a second-round knockout.
