LA Fight Club Results: Gonzalez, Negrete earn dominant KO wins

In front of a packed crowd on Friday night at the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles in the heart of the holiday season, Golden Boy Promotions put on their last “LA Fight Club” of the year.
In the main event, lightweight Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez (12-0, 11 KOs) earned a definitive knockout win with a second round destruction of Alejandro Ochoa (7-11-2, 1 KO). Gonzalez outclassed Ochoa up until the moment that he stopped him late in the bout. Ochoa was hurt badly in the second round, but beat the count, but not for long as he was stopped standing.
Bantamweight Oscar “El Jaguar” Negrete (12-0, 5 KOs) stopped late-notice replacement opponent Ernesto Guerrero (17-17, 11 KOs) in three rounds. Negrete used solid body work to eventually stop Guerrero to the aforementioned portion of the human anatomy mentioned before, the body. The end came with only a few seconds left in the third round.
Lightweight Ivan “Striker” Delgado (8-0-1, 2 KOs) showed he was more than just a “striker” as he outboxed Luis Lizarraga Jr (5-7-1, 2 KOs) in route to a six round decision. The fight was back and forth, but at the same time dominated fairly clearly by Delgado. The judges scored the bout 60-54 on all cards.
Super featherweight Nick Arce (6-0, 6 KOs) scored a second round KO over Ali Gonzalez (6-7-1, 1 KO). Arce sent Gonzalez to the floor in round one and the continued the brutal beating until it was waved off in round two when Gonzalez took a knee, but never returned to his feet. .
Featherweight Emilio Sanchez (11-0, 8 KOs) scored a first round KO over Juan Hernandez (4-2, 1 KO). Super Flyweight Joshua Franco (3-0, 2 KOs) who is trained by Robert Garcia, destroyed Leonardo Reyes (3-9, 1 KO) in the first round.
