According to a report from BoxingScene.com whom talked to Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov, Alexander Ustinov will face Luis Ortiz on September 17th in Las Vegas, as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View card of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez yet to be announced PPV card promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

Canelo announced last night that his opponent will not be Gennady Golovkin, the bout many hoped to see with Liam Smith and David Lemieux appearing to be the top contenders to land the fight with Canelo Alvarez.

The World Boxing Association ordered Luis Ortiz to face Ustinov as part of a tournament to unify the division, the winner of this bout faces the winner of Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko to unify the division.
