Sacramento, CA’s Mario Ayala (5-3-1 2KOs) will return to action in a very tough bout against Mayweather Promotions signed fighter Daniel Gonzalez (2-0) at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas. Ayala, who was suppose to fight last March at a card headlined by Ryan Bourland that fell through do to his opponent withdrawing from the bout.

Ayala has told me in the past that with his skill level and record not aligning, it is harder for him to get the fights that would advance his career since a lot of opponents do not make it to fight night.

Tonight, Ayala will be facing a very good fighter, who was a multiple time national champion, but has struggled to a degree in the professional realm as he has picked up to decision in his first two fights and his last bout being a majority decision, something that is not suppose to happen for signed prospects early on.

Ayala weighed in at 122.4 lbs and his opponent came in two pounds lighter at 120.2 lbs.
