WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr will look to defend his title against Joseph Diaz Jr in the spring per a report from Mike Coppinger of RingTV.com.

The bout which could end up coming to fruition anywhere from May 19 to June 30, according to the report cited above based off a statement from Golden Boy’s Eric Gomez.
