Ryan Garcia, Jayson Velez make weight on second attempt

In a bizarre turn of events, tomorrow nights headlining bout between 19-year-old boxing phenom Ryan Garcia and Puerto Rico’s Jayson Velez saw both men come in overweight on their first attempt at the scales. To add confusion, essentially no official word from the press core at the event or the promotion has been provided. We, ITRBoxing.com, are simply going off the live stream provided by Golden Boy Boxing.
