Lightweight Ryan Garcia defeated Carlos Morales in the main event of Facebook Watch Golden Boy Promotions event from the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Ca. Garcia started out fast as his blazing hand speed slowed down Morales. The second half of the fight saw a much slower pace as Garcia picked his shot, but also held a lot when Morales was on the inside. Morales hurt Garcia in the seventh round and won every round including that one, onward.

The judges scored the bout 95-95, 98-92 and 98-92.

This was Garcia’s first bout at lightweight, his new weight class, the same is true for Morales, who moved up for this fight.

In the co-main event, super welterweight Neeco “The Rooster” Macias (17-0, 10 KOs) might have earned himself a Golden Boy Promotions contract by beating unbeaten Marvin Cabrera (8-1, 6 KOs) when Cabrera refused to answer the bell for the seventh round. The bout was completely one-sided in Macias’ favor.

Middleweight Patrick Teixeira (29-1, 22 KOs) outpointed veteran tough-guy Nathaniel Gallimore (20-3, 17 KOs) over eight rounds. All three judges saw the bout 78-74 for Teixeira.
