Kosei Tanaka defeats Sho Kimura in thrilling fight overseas

Undefeated flyweight Kosei Tanaka (12-0, 7 KOs) added another world title to his resume as he claimed his third WBO belt as he dethroned the champion Sho Kimura (17-2-2, 10 KOs).

The bout which is included since it was overlooked stateside, because of the 14/17-hour time difference and lack of television distribution, but was an entertaining affair.

Tanaka, who is making a case for the pound-for-pound list picked up a hard-fought majority decision, the judges scored the bout 116-112, 115-113 and 114-114.
