Super lightweight Tommy Coyle added some life to his career as he beat local favorite Ryan Kielczweski in tight, evenly matched fight. Neither guy was willing to go all-out in the bout early on. In the seventh round, Coyle landed a solid left hook that sent Kielczweski to the canvas.
Coyle got the nod with scores of 96-93, 98-91 and 99-90.
Featherweight Scott Quigg picked up a second-round technical knockout win over Mario Briones. The bout was one-sided as this was Quigg’s second bout with legendary trainer Freddie Roach, as Quigg hit Briones early and often, the end came with a flurry on the ropes as Briones was unwilling to go down, but also throw punches back.
Quigg is looking to rematch Carl Frampton next year and made it known after the bout.
Super welterweight Mark De Luca picked up a ten-round decision over Walter Wright, which also avenged his lone career loss. De Luca, who switched between southpaw, his natural stance, and orthodox, kept Wright off balance picking up the win with the scores of 96-94, 96-94 and 97-93.
De Luca won the IBA super welterweight title as well as WBA-NABA super welterweight title.
Welterweight Daniyar Yeleussinov picked up a first-round technical knockout over Matt Doherty as well as heavyweight Niall Kennedy picked up a six-round decision over Brendan Barrett.
