Jose Ramirez vs. Terence Crawford in 2019?

WBC super lightweight champion Jose Ramirez of Avenal, Ca, is now in the mix to get a fight with the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, Terence “Bud” Crawford at the end of 2019.

Ramirez, who won his world title in March of last year at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, beating Amir Imam, to claim the vacant WBC super lightweight previously held by Terence Crawford.

Ramirez who is tentatively scheduled to return to the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA, in February is now being mentioned with Crawford, by his promoter and Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum.

Arum essentially stated that if Ramirez feels ready he can potentially get the shot, and if he wins Ramirez becomes a superstar.

Ramirez last fought in Fresno in September defending his belt against an undefeated Antonio Orozco.
