Ebanie Bridges Picks Up TKO Victory, Luis Alberto Lopez Scores Upset

In the main event, the hometown crowd was left stunned as challenger Luis Alberto Lopez defeated the hometown fighter Josh Warrington by majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 115-113) to become the new IBF Featherweight Champion. Warrington bullied himself back into the fight late but it wasn’t enough as Lopez became the latest in Mexico’s long line of featherweight champions.

Felix Cash remained unbeaten, with a 77-75 (referee) victory over Celso Neves. He appears headed towards a clash against fellow unbeaten fighter Ammo Williams. Williams was in attendance and was pushed by Cash in a post fight altercation.

In an all Australian world championship bout, Ebanie Bridges stopped Shannon O’Connel in the eighth round (1:45) of an action packed grudge match. Bridges retained her IBF Bantamweight title and improved to 9-1 (4 KO).
