DAY FOUR U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS BOXING RESULTS – MORE OUT, MORE WALKOVERS

The following are the results from the fourth day of the Olympic Trials on Thursday, December 12th, 2019, from Lake Charles, La.

114 Men’s

Jose Nieves received a walkover against Anthony Olascuaga and Roscoe Hill received a walkover against #1 seed Michael Angeletti

Jose Nieves and Roscoe Hill will face each other tomorrow. This will be a rematch of the first round in which Hill beat Nieves. The winner of this bout will face the loser of Friday’s bout between Anthony Herrera versus Abraham Perez on Saturday.

Anthony Olascuaga and Michael Angeletti are now eliminated.

125 Men’s

Duke Ragan defeated Kevin Montano and David Navarro defeated Jonathan Mansour.

Ragan and Navarro will face each other on Friday with the winner facing the loser of Bruce Carrington versus Rasheim Jefferson.

Kevin Montano and Jonathan Mansour are now eliminated.

138 Men’s

Harley Mederos defeated Daniel Garcia and Ernesto Mercado defeated Dalis Kaleiopu.

Mederos will face Mercado tomorrow with the winner facing the loser of Keyshawn Davis versus Charlie Sheehy.

Daniel Garcia and Dalis Kaleiopu are now eliminated.

152 Men’s

Freudis Rojas defeated Marques Valle and Lavars Carter defeated Morris Young.

Rojas and Carter will now rematch, as this was an opening day bout, that Carter won. The winner of this bout will face the loser of Kelvin Davis versus Delante “Tiger” Johnson.

Marques Valle and Morris Young are eliminated.

165 Men’s

Joseph Hicks defeated Antonio Garcia and Francis Hogan defeated Kahshad Elliott.

Hicks and Hogan will face each other time with the winner facing the loser of Javier Martinez versus Troy Isley.

Antonio Garcia and Kahshad Elliott are now eliminated.

178 Men’s

Nasheed Smith defeated Chavon Davis and Orville Crooks defeated Francis Oran.

Smith will face Crooks tomorrow, the winner will face the loser of Rahim Gonzales versus Atif Oberlton.

Chavon Davis and Francis Oran are now eliminated.

201 Men’s

Devon Young received a walkover against Najee Lopez and Brandon Moore received a walkover against Joshua Edwards.

Young will face Moore tomorrow, the winner will face the loser of Darius Fulghum versus Jamar Talley

Najee Lopez and Joshua Edwards are now eliminated.

201+ Men’s

Luis Alvarado defeated Pryce Taylor and Kenyon Walker defeated Domonic Okopie.

Alvarado and Walker will face tomorrow, the winner of that bout will face the loser of Jeremiah Milton versus Antonio Mireles.

Pryce Taylor and Domonic Okopie are now eliminated.

112 Women’s

Mariana Gonzalez defeated Jasmine Hampton and Christina Cruz defeated Jazzelle Bobadilla.

Gonzalez and Cruz will face each other tomorrow, the winner will face the loser of Ginny Fuchs versus Heaven Garcia.

Jazzelle Bobadilla and Jasmine Hampton are eliminated.

125 Women’s

“Right Hook Roxy” Iyana Verduzco defeated Melanie Costa and Isamary Aquino defeated #1 seed Yarisel Ramirez.

“Right Hook Roxy” and Isamary Aquino will fight tomorrow, the winner will face the loser of Lupe Gutierrez versus Andrea Medina.

Melanie Costa and Yarisel Ramirez are now eliminated.

Amelia Moore defeated Stacia Suttles and Jennifer Lopez defeated Whitney Gomez.

Moore will face Lopez tomorrow with the winner facing the loser of Rashida Ellis versus Kimberly Carlson.

Stacia Suttles and Whitney Gomez are now eliminated.

165 Women’s

Melody Popravak received a walkover against Kendra Reeves and Alexis Gomez defeated Pasene Asuega.

Popravak and Gomez will face each other tomorrow, the winner will face the loser of Naomi Graham versus Morrelle McCane.

Kendra Reeves and Pasene Asuega are now eliminated.
