Earlier this afternoon, Hanzel Martinez was rear ended in a bad car accident. He is in good health with no major injuries, however, he has not been medically cleared to fight on this Friday’s CBS Sports card for precautionary reasons due to trauma caused from the accident. This was Martinez’ first major bout under the Roy Jones Jr boxing promotional company, and was expected to showcase in front of a familiar local crowd. The card will still go on as planned with Emmanuel Robles and Keenan Carbajal headlining the show in separate bouts.
