Marlen Esparza (1-0 1KO) started her career off right as soundly beat an overmatched Rachel Sazoff (0-3) to open the ESPN broadcast from Fantasy Springs Casion and Resort in Indio, CA.

Esparza, a decorated amateur had little to no trouble at all landing at will against the overmatched foe, who ran into right hands all night. Esparza, who trained in Hayward, CA at Virgil Hunter’s gym as well as at the SNAC Gym in San Carlos, CA, appeared to be the higher level fighter landing at least three times more then her foe.

To put it bluntly, the bout was never competitive, but Esparza was unable to put together a flurry to get a stoppage
