Sergio Mora returns tonight!

Tonight from Biloxi, Mississippi Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (27-3-2, 9KO’s) return to action against Abraham Han (23-1, 14KO’s) for a vacant USBA middleweight title. The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino will host the event that was originally scheduled to be a IBF World Middleweight Title fight. IBF World Champion Jermaine Taylor (33-4-1, 20KO’s) was the original opponent set for Mora but, will be out of action because of legal issues.

Abraham Han steps in for Taylor on relatively short notice to fill the spot to face Mora on Friday Night Fights. Han’s only professional loss came at the hands of Glen Tapia (22-1, 14KO’s) back in July of 2013. Most recently Han fought Marcos Reyes (33-2, 24KO’s) at the Stub Hub Center in October of last year, and won a majority decision.

Sergio Mora will carry on knowing this could have been a shot the IBF World Middleweight Title if not for Taylor’s legal Issues. Last year Mora scored a fifth round TKO win over Samuel Rodgers (14-2, 8KO’s) in in May. Also in December of last year, in Mora’s most recent trip to the ring he won a unanimous decision victory over Dashon Johnson (15-19-3, 5KO’s).

Mora has won four in a row since his last loss to Brian Vera (23-9, 14KO’s) in August of 2012. While “The Latin Snake” will have to wait for a world title shot, a win against Han could very likely set him up for a world title fight in 2015.
