While number one middleweight WBC contender, Gennady Golovkin, seemingly can’t get his big fight against Miguel Cotto, he feels he will pay homage to a pro wrestling style approach to public relations as he will be attending Miguel Cotto-Daniel Geale live. Golovkin, who is considered the Boogeyman of the middleweight division will now try to play to the crowd to get a fight against a foe that the average boxing fan knows since Willie Monroe Jr, a credible foe, didn’t really get the exposure on major networks prior to that bout. The fact is Golovkin is approaching the pay-per-view grey area, but needs a foe to get him to that place.

Golovkin is still hoping to fight two more times this year, but no opponent has been pinned down since a bout with Carl Froch seemed to be a Froch PR stunt just as much as it was a valid fight as the ability of fight being made seems to have died down.
