WBA “regular” heavyweight champion Ruslan “White Tyson” Chagaev (34-2-1, 21 KOs) made quick work of challenger Francesco Pianeta (31-2-1, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany. Chagaev dropped Pianeta twice in round one before the fight was eventually waived off. The fight proves Chagaev can be a devastating puncher, but also shows that his opposition was little to non-existent.

Chagaev will now face Fres Oquendo with the winner of that bout fighting Lucas Browne.
