Jack-Groves postponed, rumored to be on Mayweather-Berto undercard

The fight between super middleweight WBC champion Badou Jack and mandatory challenger George Groves, scheduled to take place on Aug. 22 in Las Vegas and be televised on Showtime, has been postponed although no reason has been given.

As first reported by ESPN.com, no one close to the situation with either Mayweather Promotions, Jack’s promoter, or Showtime are eager to offer up an explanation as they simply exampled that the bout is no longer happening on August 22nd.

The card being waived off makes one wonder if the bout might take place on a rumored Floyd Mayweather-Andre Berto fight which is being touted as being broadcast on CBS, national network television on September 12th. Though the Mayweather fight has not been announced, multiple sources have gone on record about the fight being signed as well as that the fight would not be on pay-per-view.
