ShoBox Results: Brant, Miller and Clarkson all victorious
Middleweight Rob “Bravo” Brant (18-0, 11 KOs) edged a close decision over Louis “The Unknown” Rose (13-3-1, 5 KOs) in a 10-round bout for the vacant WBC Continental Americas middleweight title, a regional title that gets you ranked by sanctioning bodies, on Friday night at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona. Rose who is known for giving fighters tough bouts, didn’t disappoint as he forced a tough match between the prospect who was lucky to get the nod. The judges scored the bout 96-94, 96-94 and 95-95.
Heavyweight Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (15-0-1, 13 KOs) knocked out Ahror “Aha” Muralimov (14-2, 11 KOs) in the third round of the co-main event. Miller showed off his power and skill against a less foe, Muralimov, with whom he dispensed off as one might have hoped given the match-up.
Light heavyweight Samuel “The Main Event” Clarkson (17-3, 11 KOs) scored a two round knockout of Lavarn “Baby Bowe” Harvell (15-2, 8 KOs). Clarkson dropped Harvell twice in round one and finished him with a third knockdown after a barrage of punches in round two in a bout that never appeared to have any resistance from Harvell, who was outclassed.
