Diego De La Hoya (13-0 7KOs) gutted out a hard fought decision win over over  Giovani Delgado (15-4 9KOs) the course of a eight round bout in the main event live from The Joint at Hard Rock in Las Vegas, NV. De La Hoya won nearly every round of the bout was in very tough taking a lot of punches while giving more than he received, he still was in a tough outing. In the end, the judges scored the bout 79-73 on all three cards in favor of De La Hoya.

In the co-main event Fairfield, CA welterweight Alan Sanchez (17-3-1, 9 KOs) scored a sixth round knockout over prospect John Karl Sosa (13-1, 6 KOs). Sosa was able to do well in the start, but the length of Sanchez caused problems. Sanchez began to fully extend on punches and hurt Sosa who was forced to fight on Sanchez’s terms catching hard right hands and tough body shots. Sanchez was sent to the canvas three times in the sixth round once with a straight right and then the other two coming from body shots before being waived off. This was Sanchez’s last fight while under contract with Golden Boy Promotions so this win was very important for his career.

In the opening bout featherweight Horacio “Violento” Garcia (30-1, 21 KOs) scored a second round stoppage over battle tested Raul “Bule” Hidalgo (24-14, 18 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round bout in opening up the Estrella TV/RingTVLive.com telecast. Garcia pummeled Hidalgo to the ropes landing a bunch of unanswered punches that called a stop to this bout.
