Well, that was fun while it lasted, but boxing will no longer be broadcast on March 12st at Mohegan Sun Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut broadcast nationwide on Showtime as the card has now been scrapped. As reported earlier today, Gary Russell Jr. versus Patrick Hyland was suppose to function as a fill-in main event to sustain the event with the card moving from CBS to Showtime, but now it appears the card will seise to exist.

Through a press release it was explained as “various factors” as the reason for the cancelation. It was announced also that Abner Mares and Fernando Montiel will remain grouped with Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter, which will be rescheduled for CBS at a later date.

Tickets purchased for the March 12 event will be refunded at the point of purchase.
