Wilkins Santiago fights to draw in PA

Former Northern California fighter Wilkins Santiago (12-1-2 2KOs) is continue his trouble as of recent as he lost his last bout to a fighter with an undesirable record and went to a draw with Justin Johnson (6-12-4) in Erie, PA. You could credit the matchmaker with cleaver matchmaking, but this might be a major wake-up call to Santiago who has fought only one fighter with a winning record in the past three years. and that fight went to a draw. The rest of Santiago’s opposition over course of the past three years has combine record of 84-109, which means he has fought some smart veterans, but guys who have tasted defeat, a lot.

Johnson not known for his power shot landed good body work that seemed to push Santiago back as Santiago’s power was not being respected by Johnson, who has no career knockouts. Santiago would come on later in the fight as the bout seemed about dead-even, which it was officially ruled. The judges scored the bout 58-56 for Santiago, 57-57 two times as the bout was ruled a draw.
