“Hot Rod”, Baranchyk win atop ShoBox card

Light heavyweight Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic (22-1, 15 KOs) scored an exciting fifth round KO over Travis Peterkin (16-1-1, 7 KOs) on Friday night at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. Kalajdzic dropped Peterkin twice in round five before the bout was stopped.

Kalajdzic is best known for giving Marcus Browne all he could handle, but not getting the benefit of a decision.

Junior lightweights, Ivan “The Beast” Baranchyk (12-0, 10 KOs) picked up decision win over Roc Nation Sports prospect Wang Zhimin (7-1, 3 KOs). Baranchyk overwhelmed Zhimin who was unable to mount adequate offense. The judges scored the bout 99-91, 100-90, 100-90.

Heavyweight Trey Lippe Morrison (12-0, 12 KOs), the son of the late former world heavyweight champion Tommy “The Duke” Morrison, picked up a stunning first round TKO over Roc Nation prospect Ed “Black Magic” Latimore (13-1, 7 KOs). The fight was nearly over before the fight started.

In the opening bout, welterweight Ivan “The Volk” Golub (13-0, 11 KOs) scored an impressive third round TKO over James “Keep’em Sleepin” Stevenson (23-3, 16 KOs). Golub dropped Stevenson in round three and the fight was over not that much longer after it.
