Golden State Championship takes place Sunday in Fresno
Fresno amateur standout Marc Castro will be headlining “Golden State Championship” in his hometown of Fresno, CA on October 23rd. Castro, who has a 109 total wins in the amateur ranks is the #1 in the world at his weight class holding 12 national titles and 1 world championship.
The card which will take place Chukchansi Park, the home of the Fresno Grizzlies with fighters from Romania, Russia and Mexico traveling to fight on the card which will have 30 bouts.
The championship bouts will take place from 6-9PM with the first bout of the evening starting at 2PM.
The event is promoted by professional boxer Saul Lomas and will be the first of his promotional endeavors in the Fresno area.
Tickets start at $10 with reserved seating at starting $25.
2012 U.S. Olympian Jose Ramirez will also be making a guest appearance at the event as well as “Kilo the Kid” Madera, Joe Louie Lopez and Daniel Valdivia.
