Over the weekend, many were transfixed to the fight in Las Vegas, Nevada between Manny Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas, but others were looking at were top amateurs and Olympians are going to end up as with Gabriel Flores Jr. of Stockton, CA signing with Top Rank, that may have paved the way the rest.

A rumor that appears to be gaining strong buzz this morning is that Carlos Balderas, the 2016 U.S. Olympain in the lightweight division may have been the first of the 2016 class to sign.

The company he choose, well – in theory, would be Ring Star Sports, an upstart company started by former Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer.
