Heather Hardy wins, is MMA now her main focus?
In somewhat bizarre news, Heather “The Heat” Hardy (18-0 4KOs) hit the ring before any fans were allowed into the building. The unsurprising news that Hardy was able to defeat game opponent Edina Kiss (13-3 8KOs) as Hardy commanded the action.
The big question after the fight was where is Hardy’s focus after the fight. Being placed so early on the card it appears that she may not get the headlining fight that she has worked so hard for and even more so, she appears focused on MMA just as much as boxing if not more so.
Earlier this year, Hardy was suppose to fight on an all women’s MMA promotion based out of Kansas City, Missouri, but a last minute injury to her opponent scrapped her debut.
Her placement on the card, going on when most were not even in the building makes some wonder if this may have been a direct response to her potentially leaving boxing for MMA in which headlining a pay-per-view is feasible and real as opposed to boxing which is struggling to have women’s boxing broadcast on any platform.
