Ryan Bourland wins in Sacramento, CA
In a rematch from earlier this year, Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland (14-1) of Vallejo, Ca winning a six-round decision over late replacement Alfredo Contreras (13-21-2) of Mexico in a catchweight bout of 190 lbs for the main event Friday night at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento, CA. Bourland won the fight with scores of 60-54, 60-54 and 59-55. The bout was scheduled as a cruiserweight bout since Bourland replaced Blake “The Beast” McKernan on two week’s notice with original opponent being forced off the card roughly 48 hours prior.
The undercard saw Jose Vargas pick up a majority decision over Alexis Angels, featherweight Tyler Marshall get his first win of his career with 3rd TKO over Manuel Munoz, junior middleweight Ruben Torres made a statement by getting a TKO stoppage Cesar Lomeli in the fourth round, light heavyweight Nathan Sharp stopped Arnold Duarte by way of KO in the first round and crowd favorite continued his KO streak Marco Delgado getting 3rd knockout over Aaron Hamilton also Malikai Johnson picked up a first-round stoppage over Tyrone Willis in his pro debut.
