Canelo vs. GGG 2 Undercard results: Vergil Ortiz Jr makes statement

Welterweight Vergil Ortiz Jr. continues to live up to all of his potential as a future boxing superstar as he stopped former title challenger Roberto Ortiz in the second round. Ortiz Jr. pushed Ortiz back in the first round investing in body shots. In the second round, Ortiz Jr. sent Roberto Ortiz to the canvas twice, the second one ended the fight.

Vergil Ortiz Jr. looks primed to fight a legit contender in his next few fights, a name that comes to mind is Cletus Seldin.

Undefeated welterweight Alexis Rocha picked up an eight-round decision over Carlos Cervantes. Rocha looked to stop Cervantes with his heavy hands, but his unwillingness to set the shots up lead to a decision as he feel in love with his power after early success. The judges saw the bout

Undefeated super middleweight Jaba Khositashvili picked up a six-round unanimous decision over Lawrence King. The judges saw the bout 58-56 all for Khositashvili, King is trained by Henry Ramirez, the father of Ryan Garcia.

In the opening bout of the night, welterweight Brian Ceballo picked up a second-round technical knockout over David Thomas.
