This Friday night from the Stockton Civic Memorial Auditorium, Jorge Toscano’s Toscano Boxing Promotions returns for their second show this time with WBU cruiserweight champion Blake “The Beast” McKernan (10-0 6KOs) taking on his toughest opponent to date Jorge Escalante (9-2-1 6KOs) in a six-round main event.

The co-main event will feature popular Stockton middleweight Quilisto “Kilo the Kid” Madera (10-2 7KOs) of Stockton, Ca taking on Joan Jose Valenzuela (5-10-1 5KOs). Madera headlined the last Toscano Boxing Promotions card, but saw a controversial referee stoppage cost him the bout via technical knockout. Madera is coming into this bout with a lot to prove and a chip on his shoulder.

“The last fight didn’t go my way, but Jorge [Toscano] is a great guy, and he had my back and I have his back.” said Madera, who finished by saying. “I am excited to fight at the civic and bring back this old-school fighting and put some ass-whoopings on some fools.[SIC]”

The card also features an outstanding battle between two undefeated light heavyweights as Jasper “Smooth Jazz” McCargo (3-0-1 2KOs) will face Marco Delgado (4-0 4KOs) in a six-round bout that is a classic boxer versus puncher, which should be very entertaining and might steal the show.

Also featured on the undercard is popular Stockton, Ca lightweight Jose Iniguez (5-0 3KOs) taking on dangerous journeyman Alejandro Ochoa (8-17-3 1KO) in a six-round bout. The brother of Quilisto Madera, Ector Madera (4-0) will be in action in a four-round bout against Kevin Luna(1-0), Stockton, CA lightweight Matthew Guerrero (1-0 1KO) will face Alejandro Huerta (1-1) in a four-round bout, Stockton, Ca featherweight Manuel Jaimes (1-0 1KO) will face Anthony Torres (0-1) in four-round bout and Andy Vences’ teammate, super featherweight Angel Cordon Jr. (2-0 2KOs) of Martinez, Ca will face George Carranza (1-2 1KO) in a four-round bout.

Doors open at 6 PM.
