Liam Smith wins, David Price gets odd DQ win

Former WBO super welterweight champion Liam Smith (27-2-1 15 KOs) made short work of Sam Eggington (24-5 15 KOs) stopping him in five rounds. The bout was one-sided and waved off with a minute left in the fifth and final round, Smith won the vacant super welterweight WBC silver title.

Heavyweight David Price (24-6, 19 KOs) picked the biggest win of his career in a bizarre fashion besting Kash Ali (15-1, 7 KOs) by fifth-round disqualification on Saturday night at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool England. Price was outboxing Ali for the first four rounds, but was rocked in the fifth, who hurt Ali when Ali tried to close the show. The finish came at 2:26 when the two wrestled to the ground with Ali biting Price’s chest.

Former world title challenger Paul Butler (28-2, 14 KOs) picked up a one-sided win over Fadhili Majiha (23-13-4, 10 KOs) in a six-round bout.

In an entertaining grudge match, super welterweight Scott Fitzgerald picked up a split decision win over Anthony Fowler in a fun ten-round bout. Fitzgerald dropped Fowler in the tenth and final round which was the deciding factor of the bout.
