Angelo Leo, Xavier Martinez, Andres Cortes win on ShoBox
Super bantamweight Angelo Leo of Mayweather Promotions looked to make a statement in his first-time headlining a ShoBox: The Next Generation card, and the Vegas transplant did, beating Neil Tabanao by ten-round decision at the Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sacramento, CA’s super featherweight Xavier Martinez stopped John Moralde in three rounds. Martinez used technicial pressure coming forward, but thinking while applying pressure before stepping up the knockout
Moralde had recently gone ten rounds with Jamel Herring, Herring is now fighting Masayuki Ito on May 25th for Ito’s WBO super featherweight world title. Martinez made a statement doing something a world title challenger couldn’t.
In the opening televised bout, Andres Cortes survived a scare as he was dropped in the fourth round by Jahmal Dyer. Cortes edged the fight on the cards by way of wide decision.
The judges saw the bout 78-73, 79-73 and 78-74 for Cortes.
Undercard results are as follows; welterweight Cameron Kreal picked up a ten-round unanimous decision over Angel Hernandez, welterweight Keith Hunter defeated Sanjarbek Rakhmanov by way of a eight-round split decision, super middleweight Kevin Newman got a first-round KO of an outclassed opponent in Cesar Ugarte, welterweight Maurice Lee got a six-round unanimous decision victory over Andre Byrd and featherweight Kingdamon Antoine got a six-round unanimous decision over Raheem Abdullah.
