Andy Vences vs. Albert Bell set for June 8th in Reno, Nevada

One of the marquee fights ahead of the June 8th stacked card from Reno, Nevada topped by WBO featherweight world champion Oscar Valdez versus Jason Sanchez has added some more Northern California talent to the bouts taking place at the Reno Convention Center.

Though it was announced last week that blue-chip lightweight prospect Gabriel Flores Jr. will be in action in a six-rounder, it was announced today that two unbeaten super featherweight contenders will do battle as Andy Vences will face Albert Bell, more than likely on ESPN+ of the card.

Andy Vences of San Jose, California, is now a 27-year-old veteran in the fight game, with an undefeated record. Vences, who started on Don Chargin and Paco Damian club shows in Northern California was signed by Top Rank Inc in 2015 after he defeated Santiago Guevara, a fighter who was signed by Golden Boy Promotions. Vences since has beaten undefeated contender Casey Ramos as well as fighting Erick De Leon to a draw in one of the most viewed fights of 2018.

Albert Bell, a Toledo, Ohio native, signed to Top Rank Inc with his last bout with this being his second fight with the promotion. Bell, a 200 fight amateur hasn’t faced similar competition in the professional realm, but is had the deeper amateur career.
