Amir Khan wins a weird one overseas, stops Billy Dib

Former two-division world champion Amir Khan (36-5, 21 KOs) scored a fourth-round KO over former IBF featherweight champion Billy “The Kid” Dib (45-6, 26 KOs) in a bout contested at welterweight on Friday night at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, in one of the weirdest speciality attractions.

Dib was dropped in the second and stopped in the fourth. After the bout, Khan continued his ability to be the best promoter of himself as he called for a fight with his former teammate and sparring partner, Manny Pacquiao.

World ranked Hughie Fury (23-2, 13 KOs) picked up a seventh-round technical stoppage over 38-year-old Samuel Peter (38-8, 31 KOs) who suffered a shoulder injury.

The widely unpopular and amateurish professional Prince Patel suffered the first of what I am sure will be many defeats in his career losing to Michell Banquez by way of a wide decision.
