Deontay Wilder’s first WBC world heavyweight title defense will not be the most amazing foe in front of him, but will serve as a victory lap of sorts as Wilder will defend his belt in his home state of Alabama. Wilder is likely to face Eric Molina on June 13 on Showtime from Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.

Molina who has been stopped twice in the first round by San Francisco’s Ashanti Jordan and Chris Arreola seems almost destined to be put on the highlight reel as Molina has not been viewed prior to this fight as elite.
