Melissa McMorrow and Kaliesha West sign to Blueprint Boxing Promotions

Blueprint Boxing Promotions announced the addition of three time world flyweight champion “Mighty” Melissa McMorrow and Kaliesha “Wild Wild” West  to it’s talent roster of world class boxers.

Melissa McMorrow (10-5, 1 KOs) is a former three-time world champion who in her last fight defeated previously undefeated former world champion Kenia Enriquez in February 2015 in Rosarito Baja California Mexico.

“I’m happy to be signed with Blueprint Boxing Promotions. I will be fighting again very soon and I look forward to becoming a four time world champion”said Melissa McMorrow, Former WBO world flyweight champion.

 

McMorrow will return to the ring on June 11th in Oakland, California for an all-day boxing event put on by O.P.P. Presents Boxing which will take place outdoors at the Historic 16th Street Station at 1601 Wood Street in West Oakland.

Melissa McMorrow is a Brazilian American who trains in San Mateo, California with her manager/trainer Eddie Croft at B St Boxing Gym. Melissa has a solid athletic background she grew up playing soccer, she was an All American soccer player in college. Melissa also played semi-pro soccer in Brazil and the U.S.

After her semi-pro soccer league disbanded, Melissa needed another outlet to showcase her passion for athletics. She found and fell in love with the sport of boxing. Melissa began boxing in 2005 and in 2006 she won the National Golden Gloves Flyweight Championship. In 2008 Melissa turned pro and won her first world title in 2012.

 

Kaliesha West (16-2, 4 KOs) is a former two-time, two-division world champion who is ready, willing and able to get in the ring and become a three time world champion in 2016.

Kaliesha West is of Mexican, Korean, Black, Puerto Rican & Native American heritage . She trains in Moreno Valley, California with her manager/trainer Juan West. Kaliesha’s father Juan West was a amateur boxing champion as well as a pro boxer. Kaliesha picked up the sport of boxing at the ripe age of ten years old. West would then go on to become one of the best amateur boxers in California, winning numerous tournaments including the 2002 and 2003 Junior Olympic championships and the 2003 and 2004 Silver Gloves and the 2002 125-lb National Golden Gloves championship for ages 13-14 with an amateur record that was 98-10 when she turned pro in 2006. In 2010 Kaliesha won her first world title, Winning the WBO world bantamweight title scoring a 7rd TKO over Angel Gladney in Los Angeles, California.

In 2014 Kaliesha decided to take some time off from the sport of boxing to focus on her acting career. As an actress Kaliesha was involved in numerous national commercials and acting projects including a role in television series broadcasted nationally on the CW network.
