Former two-division world champion Danny “Swift” Garcia shook his lone career defeat by knocking out Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios in the main event of a Showtime telecast promoted by Mayweather Promotions taking place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In a fairly competitive fight that saw Rios press forward recklessly, but forcing Garcia on the ropes with Garcia landing the cleaner shots. It was the ninth round that saw Garcia land a fateful overhand right that floored Rios. Rios got up, but the ref waived the fight off.
