Boxing Returns To Richmond, CA April 25th
Squarevision Entertainment will hold its third event in less than 12 month as the promotion returns April 25 to The Richmond Auditorium in Richmond, CA. One of the unique aspects of the promotion is the introduction of the GBO belt, a belt that would signify the best fighters per weight class with in the promotion and making for what would be logical matchmaking down the road and a way prospects could garner a large fan base through familarity.
Though no official main event is scheduled for the event, it appears that junior welterweight Bilal Mahasin of Oakland, CA will take on Will Walters of Sacramento, CA in the main event in a six round bout. The two have had bad blood in the past as Mahasin was forced to pull out of a bout with Walters in October of last year due to an undisclosed injury. Walters even spoke of the incident in this video, which seemed to upset Mahasin who took to social media calling out Walters when it appeared that Walters might not take the fight on April 25th. In essence, this is a grudge match between two fighters who have been waiting to face each other for some time now.
The card will also see O.T. “Champ” Seymore of San Francisco facing Mario Aguirre in a welterweight bout as Seymore looks to duplicate his stunning first round knockout in his pro debut last year. San Jose junior welterweight prospect Moises Benitez will face Khrys Daniel of Turlock, CA. The card will also feature Joel Siapno of San Leandro, CA , Casey Morton of San Francisco, CA, Luis Garcia of Richmond , CA , Eric Altamirano of Concord, CA, Brandon Adams of San Francisco, CA, Adam Fiel of Vacaville as well as more bouts to be announced.
