Khan believes Mayweather is hoping he looks bad against Algieri

“[They’re] hoping I have bad performance” stated Amir Khan to the Daily Mail when talking about Floyd Mayweather’s hope for Khan’s return to the ring on Friday. Khan who takes on Chris Algieri in Brooklyn, NY live on Spike TV as Khan believes the Mayweather camp are hoping he is less than stellar.

Khan who has been chasing the Floyd Mayweather bout realistically for about a year and a half and on again off again for about five years. Now it is go time for Khan as Mayweather at most has two fights left and even though Mayweather is fighting in September to finish up his Showtime contract no opponent has been named leaving room for Khan to try to make an impression.

 

Khan’s goal from the outside in is to stop Algieri, a man Manny Pacquiao couldn’t nonetheless in the pre-fight hype, it is more about Floyd Mayweather rather than the fight itself which is somewhat telling
