Boxing Schedule for May 4th-May 6th

Thursday

FOX Sports 1, 10:00 pm EST, Jayson Velez vs Daniel Ramirez, Christian Gonzalez vs TBA. Fox Sports 1/Golden Boy Live continue their mid-level developmental cards with an interesting main event, Jayson Velez in many people’s mind could be champ as he nearly beat Evgeny Gradovich last year. Daniel Ramirez is tough and game fighter who fought Guy Robb earlier this year in a decent affair.

Saturday

NBC, 3:00 pm EST, Robert Guerrero vs Aron Martinez, Jesus Cuellar vs Vic Darchinyan. It appears the higher ups at NBC liked Guerrero’s performance and he is returning in a tune-up bout against Aron Martinez. The undercard will see Jesus Cuellar make his debut to the general public against a 40 year-old plus Vic Darchinyan.

NBC Sports Network, 4:30 pm EST, when the time on the aforementioned NBC network is up the broadcast will shift over to NBCsN to feature some of the other talent . It is almost certain Alfredo Angulo vs. Delray Raines will be featured. Other bouts that could be shown are Marvin Sonsona vs Jonathan Arrellano, Dominic Breazeale vs Yasmany Consuegra, Carlos Morales vs Juan Ruiz, Oscar Molina vs Todd Manuel, Fabian Maidana vs Julius Dyis, Anthony Flores vs Eric Bossier. Chris Arreola does not appear to be on the card anymore.

HBO/10:30 pm EST, Miguel Cotto vs Daniel Geale. It’s a one bout fight card from Brooklyn, NY as Miguel Cotto makes his debut on a Roc Nation card against Daniel Geale, a former champion who is not widely respected by the boxing community. The fight should serve as a decent lead into Canelo Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto
