Floyd Mayweather today at the media day for the Adrien Broner vs. Shawn Porter fight dropped a bomb on the boxing world when he explained that he feels that he needs to fight either Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield for what he is calling his last professional bout. The confusion might come from the fact that both fighters have had recent ups and downs in the sport of boxing as they recently had tough losses , but in all fairness bounced back nicely.

Mayweather who in the interview posted by The Mayweather Boxing Channel explained he is semi-retired, but expressed that he wants to face a tough guy from the younger generation. A name absent from the conversation was Amir Khan who recently struggled in a win over Chris Algieri,

Mayweather’s last bout is scheduled for September 12th at the MGM Grand as of right now no one has yet to be announced to fight him.
