Well, Floyd Mayweather didn’t want to give up his WBO welterweight title just to have a rival Top Rank fighter pick it up meaning that Timothy Bradley vs. Jessie Vargas will now be for the interim title and not the full fledged one on Saturday, June 27th.

The interim champ will become the full fledged champ if Mayweather doesn’t comply with WBO rules by July 3rd which are pay 200,000 for the sanctioning fee for his fight with Manny Pacquiao and send in a signed letter to give up both his WBA and WBC titles at 154 lbs.

Essentially, the WBO is calling Mayweather’s bluff.
