Golovkin set face Dominic Wade on April 23rd in Los Angeles, CA

After a disappointing pay-per-view showing Gennady Golovkin will return to HBO to face Dominic Wade in a yet to be determined venue in Los Angeles, CA though many speculate it could once again be The Forum in Inglewood, CA. Golovkin, who is considered by all reasonable people in this day and age the best middleweight in the division right now is on a quest to unify the division which well has seemingly got him stuck in rut of fighting fights most people are not interested in.

Wade, on the other hand is a fairly green fighter who is signed to Al Haymon, but will be fighting for Golovkin’s IBF middleweight title since Tureano Johnson is now injured. Wade is largely unknown with a good record and someone I have yet to see a fight of.

The news was first reported by ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael.
