The bout saw a head clash change the fight as Honorio suffered a very bad cut that bleed into his eye, Perez who outboxed from the opening bell kept the cut open and was able to force the ref to waive the bout off. Since the cut was caused by a clash of heads, the fight went to the scorecards in which Perez had won each round on the judges cards at 60-54 on all three cards

The co-main event saw super featherweight Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez (13-0, 12 KOs) made quick work of former Manny Pacquiao sparring partner, David Rodela (17-13-4, 7 KOs). A counter overhand right over the jab saw Rodela hit the canvas as the fight was waved off at 2:16 of the first round.
