USA Boxing Mikaela Mayer outclassed a game, but inexperienced Jennifer Chieng of Micronesia in the afternoon bouts from Rio.

Mayer ate a few more right hands then desired in the first round, which could have been a testament to some Olympic nerves, but once she was in her groove was able to outclass Chieng, who picked up boxing just three years ago.

Mayer will have a tough next outing as she faces Anastasia Belyakova of Russia on Monday at 1PM PST.

Antonio Vargas fights at 7:30AM PST against Juliao Henriques Neto of Brazil tomorrow morning.
