Today, the WBA announced that they’re ordering Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs to fight as both hold different versions of the WBA middleweight title. One of the big hang-ups is that Golovkin has a HBO exclusive contract that means if the fight goes to a purse bid and Jacobs side wins, the fight might get voided by team Golovkin.

Rumors today circulated that Golovkin might also face Billy Joe Saunders.

This past weekend Golovkin defeated the IBF welterweight champion 13 lbs above his natural weight at middleweight by 5th round TKO. Jacobs also looked impressive fighting Sergio Mora, whom he dropped five times before stopping him.
