Mexican southpaw bantamweight Luis Nery (24-0, 18 KOs) picked up the biggest win of his career by capturing the WBC bantamweight belt when he battered and bruised Shinsuke Yamanaka (27-1-2, 19 KOs) forcing Yamanaka’s corner to stop the fight on Tuesday in Kyoto, Japan. Nery put pressure on Yamanaka and by the fourth round, Yamanaka was barely able to respond.
