Casey Morton wins first title in Philippines

San Francisco, CA women’s flyweight Casey Morton (7-0-3 1KO) defeated Nongmuay Kokietgym (13-4-3) in a ten-round main event at Okada Manila Hotel and Casino in Paranaque City, Philippines, in which Morton won the vacant World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific Female Flyweight Title, her first title as a professional fighter.

Morton, who recently started training with legendary boxing coach Nonito Donaire Sr. controlled the fight winning every round on all three judges scorecards.

Morton will now obtain a world ranking in the sanctioning body and hopefully, fight for a world title in the near future.
