Results from Sacramento, Ca – Alfredo Contreras upsets in Sac
In the main event for the featured professional bouts of the evening, tough journeyman Alfredo Contreras (14-22-2 5KOs) upset Northern California cruiserweight prospect Mike Russell (3-1 2KOs) in the main event of a card promoted by Uppercut Promotions from The DoubleTree in Sacramento, Ca. The bout was very competitive and hard to score as the fight had a lot of lulls and without the help of a television camera crew, it was hard to tell what landed and what didn’t.
We favored the cleaner punches of Mike Russell, but feel he should have thrown more to separate himself
The judges saw the bout 58-55 Russell, 58-55 Contreras and 57-56
