Uppercut Promotions returns to Sacramento’s DoubleTree on Friday night

Longtime Sacramento, Ca promoter Nasser Navoronni , who is the head of Uppercut Promotions will return Friday, March 1st, to the Sacramento, CA DoubleTree Hotel across from the Arden Fair Mall with the first bell at 7:30 PM PST.

The card which is headlined by lightweight David Melgoza (3-0 2KOs) facing Modesto, CA’s Osvaldo Sarabina (3-1 1KO) in the only six-round bout of the evening. Melgoza fought his last fight as six-rounder as well, but got a knockout win in the third round and has never gone six rounds, Sarabina’s lone loss was a split decision loss in a six round bout.

Sacramento, Ca featherweight Malikai Johnson (3-0-1 2KOs) will face veteran Corban Page (5-19-1) in a four-round bout, middleweight Viacheslav Borshchev (pro debut) of Sacramento, Ca will face Adrian Ochoa (pro debut) of El Centro, CA, Super welterweight Chris Washington (2-0 1KO) fighting out of Dreamland Boxing in San Jose, Ca will put his unbeaten record on the line against Erick Sanchez (1-0) in a four-round bout, welterweight Sergio Vega (1-0 1KO) will face Phillip Schwartz (pro debut), decorated amateur bantamweight Derry Noble (2-0 1KO) will face May Garduno (0-2) and in the opening bout Vikash Deol (pro debut) will face Aaron Hamilton (0-4).
